The rain was about to set in, and we had just finished Family Portraits. This Bethany Beach Wedding was absolutely beautiful, but the weather was not at all kind.
As the sprinkles started to fall I looked for Jessica, then I looked at her brother and nodded- giving him “the okay” to play the special song that Jessica & George had planned. This wasn’t a song that they would play as the family left the beach to avoid the rain, or a song that they would passionately kiss to while dancing in the rain for a few more portraits.
This song played while they looked at each other, held hands, and ran into the ocean.
At a whopping 39 degrees that day they took hold of each other and jumped into the actual ocean!
While Drew, myself, and her brother knew that was happening, a lot of her family had absolutely no idea! To say that the looks on their faces were of complete & utter shock is an understatement!
These two walked into their marriage in such a bold and fearless way, and I have no doubt in my mind that they will continue to lead that same life throughout their marriage.
Passion, love, and fearlessness, all things you can find inside this marriage. What better way to celebrate this Bethany Beach Wedding than a cold douse of ocean water with the one you love the most.
Have you seen The Princess Bride, yet? If you have, then you’ll appreciate this!
