How To Book a Family Session on a Budget

Portrait

One of the biggest roadblocks when it came to booking my own Family’s Portrait session is that I’ve always considered it “out of budget”. I never thought that we would be one of those families that booked a portrait session for $1,000, but there I was at the beach with my kids & husband in front of the camera! So that got me thinking… if we could afford this session- a family of 4 that at the time made around $50,000/year, how could I help other families understand that they could, too?

A few tips that I have when it comes to booking a Family Session on a budget!

Don’t pay for everything at once!

MEP (Miranda Eorio Photography) offers payment plans because I understand that your family has bills to pay! While your family portraits are so important & valuable, other bills do exist. Use 1 paycheck to put down your deposit and then break up the remaining balance over 2 or 3 paychecks.

Book a Mini Session

If you’re not a fan of full sessions for any reason we offer Mini Sessions 2-3 times a year! This allows for families to receive a small amount of portraits while not sacrificing quality or their experience! These sessions are significantly less expensive than a full portrait session, and we spend approximately 10-15 minutes together.

Book an Extended Family Session!

More family members but you’re paying less money- how does that even work? Because when you’re booking an Extended Family Session you’re bringing together your brother & sister, parents, and children! That means that you can spread the payments out a little bit more! When you offer to book a portrait session you could split that 3 ways (or at least between all of your siblings!)

Have you considered booking a session but, like me, the price was stopping you from moving forward? I have been there so many times, and with my kids getting older I have fewer and fewer pictures to look back on because I went without these portraits for a long time. Why don’t we chat about making this a reality for you? P.S. We have Mini Sessions coming up in September! If you think Minis are ideal for your family to book your portraits- you’re just in time! I’ll send out an email this week with more information!

Meet Miranda

I did everything I wasn't supposed to do! I gave away 100+ images, offered 30 minute sessions, went over my allotted time for EVERY family, and never upsold a single image.

Now, I'm booking my calendar faster than ever, keeping to my 15 minutes per family while serving them well, not feeling overwhelmed or stressed, and upselling more than 50% of my galleries!

After years of doing it all wrong, I finally figured out how to do it right.

Minis offer cash injections that are amazing for me and my family!

Especially around the holidays, what I make from Mini Sessions pays for my entire family's Christmas!

Gifts, Christmas dinner, additional décor- this is entirely funded by my own Mini Sessions!

Sharing this information and allowing others to support their family is my main reason for doing this!
