Kevin, Stacey, & Mavis have been part of the MEP Family for YEARS! They were my first clients that shot with me at The White Cliffs of Conoy. They have come back every year so that I can capture their sweet sweet family. This year Stacey fell in love with Lititz Springs since it holds a special place in their hearts as a family! If you think it’s easy keeping the attention of a toddler, then you’ve never spent time with them before! Family photo sessions can cause a lot of stress… Especially when you’re not sure how your toddler is going to react to being posed and followed around! All they really want to do is play at the playground and enjoy running away from mom & dad.

My secret?

Let the little ones guide us through our session together. They have a wild imagination, and we’re blessed to be able to share it with them when they let us. Following their lead for portraits is so important because it keeps them happy & allows me as a photographer to guide the whole family for a portion of our time together.

Another key ingredient to a successful family session is capturing the moments as they unfold. The details, hand holding, giggles, and the parents just being with their children. Interacting, smiling, tickling, snuggling, and holding. These moments aren’t raising any alarms with the toddler, they’re actually loving being with their parents and getting loved on. Capturing those moments of them together is what the parents are going to treasure, and what is going ot make your session a breeze.
