A Family Full of Love and Legacy | Christening in Philadelphia, Pa
Some families just feel like home—and this one is exactly that. Photographing Christian’s Christening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was an honor, but even more meaningful because it was the third time I’ve worked with this beautiful family. I first met them during Anthony’s baby shower, then again for his Christening. Now, baby Christian (just 4 months old!) was being welcomed into the same tradition, surrounded by the same warmth, joy, and deep-rooted love that seems to follow this family wherever they go.
The ceremony took place at Saint Richard Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia, a gorgeous and peaceful setting that felt rich in tradition. Christian was one of four babies receiving a blessing that day—joined by one other little boy and two sweet baby girls. It was beautiful to see all of the families come together in such a sacred space, each celebrating a meaningful milestone in their children’s faith journey.
Christian was calm and cozy throughout the ceremony, perfectly content in the arms of his family. His big brother Anthony was full of energy and smiles (and maybe a little curiosity about everything going on). Watching these brothers together—especially knowing how loved and supported they are—was one of the highlights of the day for me.
There’s something incredibly special about photographing families over the years. You see how little ones grow, how relationships evolve, and how traditions get passed down. It’s more than taking pictures—it’s telling the story of who they are.
To this sweet family: thank you for welcoming me in once again. Christian’s Christening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was a beautiful continuation of your family’s story, and I’m so grateful to help document it.
