It was a chilly December morning for this Family Session in Lancaster Pa to take place at Stauffer Mansion in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for The Plumberg’s family portraits. But, despite the cold, the family was all smiles and warmth! We walked around the park, stopping to take advantage of the sun peeking out from behind the clouds and the charming buildings on site.
The sun peeked outs occasionally, making the scene even more beautiful, though still only 30 degrees! I could tell that this family was close-knit and full of love. They laughed and joked together, and it was clear that they cherished one another. It was such a pleasure to capture their closeness and joy in these photos. These are the kinds of memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Planning a December family session with a 6 month old had us worried that Zooey wouldn’t feel comfortable, maybe we’d have to end the session early, and with a grumpy little one. Not this baby, though! The only time she even gave us attitude was when Alyssa has put her down in her car seat so they could take portraits together.
“Not without me, mom!”

This Family Session in Lancaster Pa captures the beauty of the old buildings and history that we have here in Central Pa- and the best part is that you can find this everywhere around here! When Alyssa chose Stauffer Mansion I knew that she wouldn’t just fall in love with the portraits that I”d deliver, but she’d fall in love with the area as a whole. She would come back here when it got warmer, walk around the park with Zooey and Anthony, and relive the memories of an all too cold December Family Portrait Session for years to come.
