Longs Park in Lancaster Pennsylvania has to be one of the most gorgeous, and free, locations in all of Central PA. Photographers have used this location for years to capture the changing seasons, while families have used it as a place to take their kids and spend Summer fun.
From the 4 playgrounds ranging in all different sizes, to the petting zoo, pond, and walking path- Longs Park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania has a little bit of everything.
Choosing to host Family Legacy Sessions here is honestly a no brainer! Every season offers something a little bit different, and capturing each season at it’s peak is one of the most beautiful parts of being a photographer.
The Harbinson’s
Ashley & her family, though, they stole the show at Longs Park this time- and not the scenery. I always know that my families are my “ideal families”, meaning that I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else, they’re just perfect for me. The Harbinson’s were no exception, and they had me laughing almost to tears with the absolute nonstop shenanigans.
I always say that my families fall into all 3 of these categories:
- They’re wildly in love with their partner
- Their children are strong-willed & resilient
- & their lives together are beautiful & chaotic
Ashley’s family checked all 3 boxes, and never stopped showing me exactly why they were so perfect for each other. They had the funniest ideas, always trusted the process (even when they felt silly), and even embraced the goofiness of our session and took it to another level.
Can you spot the Salmon shirt, by any chance? If you look closely enough, you can see that it’s a Salmon-Salmon shirt, and that alone should tell you everything you need to know about this off the wall, slightly unhinged, and absolutely perfect family.
