Intentional Marketing Live Training

Let’s talk about Intentional Marketing for Family Photographers!

When I say the words “Intentional Marketing” … what comes to mind?

Is it excitement & joy because you’ve found out how to crack the code to reach not only your Ideal Client, but a revolving door of Ideal Clients?

Or is it more intimidation and rolling your eyes? “Yep, I post on Social Media- I’m doing ”marketing”.

Marketing is more than just posting to social media blindly without a goal for each post. It’s more than saying, “Hey, don’t forget to book a session before I’m all booked up for the year!”

…even though we know you’re not close to being all booked up.

And yes, it’s more than sending the occasional email to previous clients asking them if they’re ready to book their yearly photos.

Marketing for Family Photographers is different than Wedding Photographers.

There’s No Preferred Vendors List For Family Photographers

When it comes to marketing, you have to be doing more than just posting to social media or just sending emails to your clients. More than just posting to Facebook and ignoring that email list that has been looming over you for YEARS.If you do have an email list, it has probably been severely neglected. And that is okay, because honestly, there’s nowhere to go but up from here! So take a deep breath. Don’t let me make you feel bad about that, because mine was neglected for so many years. I wasn’t collecting email addresses. It was a mess. More on that later.

So when it comes to marketing, I’m not going claim to know everything from A to Z because I don’t. But what I do know is that I can give you information to help you market to your ideal client, and find the secrets when it comes to Intentional Marketing for Family Photographers. Because everyone has a different type of Ideal Client we’re not gonna talk so much about the languages as much as we’re going to talk about the stepping stones to setting up a good marketing plan.

Website

Here’s the people that I serve. Here’s a little bit about me and just the whole kit and caboodle of what a website includes. If you don’t have a website right now, that’s fine, but what you’re going going to have to do at some point in the future start with a free website. Especially if you really don’t want to invest that much money into it right now. Personally, I use Showit. Squarespace, Wix, I’ve tried both of those out when I was using free websites and I was still getting inquiries in! People wanted to book me. It was better than not having one at all, so it’s a stepping stone. So now that we have the website out of the way, what you’ll also need is to be consistently posting to the social media or social medias of your choice.

Posting Consistently!

There’s also posting consistently. So when we post, we need to decide, “Hey, am I going to be doing it three times a week? Am I gonna be doing it once every day? Am I going to be posting six times a day?” No matter what you choose, you can do it as much or as little as you want, but it needs to be consistent. So now that we talked about websites a little bit, we talked about the consistency of posting. Now we really need to focus a little tiny bit on those emails that I mentioned earlier.

3. Email List

If you don’t have an email list set up just yet, that’s okay. But! I want you to start working with that because when you have your website, you can start to offer a popup offering somebody a freebie that benefits them as their Family Photographer. When they sign up for said freebie, they give you their email address that ends up going into your email marketing system. From there you can serve all of these clients as you grow your email list. If emails confuse you & you’re not sure how you can take your email list to the next level feel free to reach out to me! I would love to help you build your email list so that you can serve your clients & serve them well!

Meet Miranda

I did everything I wasn't supposed to do! I gave away 100+ images, offered 30 minute sessions, went over my allotted time for EVERY family, and never upsold a single image.

Now, I'm booking my calendar faster than ever, keeping to my 15 minutes per family while serving them well, not feeling overwhelmed or stressed, and upselling more than 50% of my galleries!

After years of doing it all wrong, I finally figured out how to do it right.

Minis offer cash injections that are amazing for me and my family!

Especially around the holidays, what I make from Mini Sessions pays for my entire family's Christmas!

Gifts, Christmas dinner, additional décor- this is entirely funded by my own Mini Sessions!

Sharing this information and allowing others to support their family is my main reason for doing this!
